  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

The Plasmaglow seems to be the better value. I bought two modules that has 6 LEDs enclosed and mounted them low on the car by the air dam. The guy that did the work for me (Daniel at Sound Visions) said there is a DRL fuse under the hood and he made the connections there. It works like a charm. Whenever I start the engine those lights come on and when I turn the ignition off they turn off.

Rob do you have any pictures of them and the location of the install. I think they look amazing but I am wondering if they are too good to be true. One of those products that you buy and within the year its already not working properly.

Are you driving a Canadian model? On US models there's a DRL fuse slot, but no fuse or any connections to plug a fuse into in that slot. Did Daniel at Sound Vision wire in a fuse connection in that slot?

To do it properly, you need to disassemble the headlights. Took me 3 hours per light. The streetglow and plasmaglow versions are meant to go on the outside of the headlights via a thin strip of double sided adhesive that's already on the lights.

No I'm driving an American version (bought in south Georgia). I've posted others in my album under my profile.

So it wont fit in the space there? I love the concept but taking apart the headlight to get it in the space is over my head. Maybe I should find a local shop to do the work. 3 hours of labor and the gaurentee that they are responsible for anything that breaks or doesnt work seems like its worth the $$ to me.

Took me 3 hours PER headlight. That's 6 hours. They shouldn't have any problems making sure it doesn't condensated with the way it's made. I'll post pics ASAP.

As you can see, I went ahead and put a strip of LED by the projectors.

Wow... That looks REALLY GOOD.

Too hard for your average person to DIY?

Also, what brand did you go with?

They look amazing. But From what I can tell they don’t necessarily have to be mounted in the headlight assembly. They look like they can be mounted on the bumper or other places. While I know you way looks better would the other way look horrible?

Thanks for the compliments everyone.

Although, you don't have to mount it on the inside, I like to just because I'm that picky. You can mount them on the lens or bumper if you so choose. I have my own source for them. I'll take pictures of them and show you how thin they are. They're 90 degree (side emitting) LEDs. Can either go with the white or cool white (which is what I have).

Thanks they look amazing! And IMO its such a low cost mod with a huge payout.

I have an account with Plasmaglow. Seems like their lights are cheaper than my source. Not sure if it's the lumens or what, but for your purposes, I'd say you can get the Plasmaglow directly or through me. Doesn't matter. Good luck with the mod!

I'm interested in doing something like this. What is the process to get the strips inside the lights? Should I have it done professionally? What do you estimate as the cost? Too bad I can't just send my lights to you.

Great Job!

I found another kind of LEDs for Genesis from Korean Genesis Club.

it was too hard to me, so this time, I will install LED strips in fog light for my Genesis.

I think, I will do it thanksgiving week.

im trying to find out if the EQUUS headlights will fit the genesis 4.6, they are the same shape and size from what i can see, i love those LEDS, im not looking for those mini side way LEDS strips.
