  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I finally found a true set of wheels that I would likely to stick with for a long time. Unfortunately, this morning I ran over a large piece of metal and scrape the left side of my car pretty bad (mostly the front bumper). I won't be able to do a full photoshoot until my car is back from the bodyshop. I'll drop the car off on Monday to the bodyshop hopefully.

I love all the changes except the wheels are too wide for the car/tires. Stretched tires belong on old/nasty VWs, not luxury cars.

Just my $0.02. If you like it, more power to you. Enjoy the ride! :)

I'm trying to do more of a VIP japanese looks to it. Notice the type of wheels I got. These are classic VIP dish type wheels.

Looks nice. How's the ride compared to stock?

It might just be the pictures, but it looks to me like the camber is a bit negative (possibly from the lowering). Unless you are planning a lot of corner carving, that's going to chew through tires faster and not get you a lot in return for it.

Sorry to hear about the encounter with the metal! One of the most irritating things in the world is to be driving around, minding one's own business, when someone else' carelessness results in dings!

At stock height the rear of the car is already has a bit of negative camber. After I lowered the car, the rear is now probably -3 degree camber.

Thanks, I really hate Southern California freeway. I just love the weather and the life around here too much to pack up and move

What do you mean when you refer to the "dampening know"? Also what kind of exhaust is on your car?

Dampening on the struts means that you can adjust how soft or harsh the rebound of the strut over bump. Harsh is better for handling since the tires contact with the road better. Soft setting is ofcourse better for ride smoothness quality. Our cars at not sport cars so I rather have the ride quality. ARK coilovers has 16 level of adjustment from soft to stiff.

Those are porsche 997 S exhaust tips. They fit perfectly after the stock tips removed. I'm thinking of replacing them with slightly larger aftermarket porsche tips.

what is the weight of each rim?

I like the look but they just look heavy, and I would not be interested in additional unsprung weight

They are forged 3 pieces wheels so they are actually pretty light. Wheels and tire combo actually slightly lighter than heavy stock cast aluminum wheels.

Wow! My wife would have those wheels destroyed in one weekend! Can we say parallel parking and a serious curb rash? I like the way the front looks, but can't quite get a warm and fuzzy about the rear. I also can't make out the brand of tire. What is she wearing? Are they summer or all-season?

I love your modifications!!!

My car is the exact same color, with 20 inch dub couture, and tints at the moment. My old is300 had an intake, exhaust, rims and 1 inch eibachs... I'm debating using springs, but LOVE THE profile of how your's looks... It's tough modifying cars..especially new/rare ones like this, as "already modified" genesis are hard to find... You've motivated me to throw up some of my photos, asap, hopefully tomorrow!!

Yeah the rear looks better in person though. The tires are Falken 452 Summer tires. I like them alot for the quality, name brand, and affordability of them.

love the wheels hate the tires. never did like the exposed rim look. But over all looks pretty hot. just my opinion.

Just my two cents. The wheels look fine but the tires look completely out of place.

Wow, and I've been wondering if a 9.5" rim would fit on the rear without clearance issues.

I actually saw this on the road heading to ARK. I was in my S2K and saw this Beast pull up next to me. First I was thinking MR2ENVi wanted to race not knowing it was him. Then I realized O shit its a genesis and I have seen it before, when he came down to ARK for some Sedan Coilovers. I was scanning for a while, checking out the drop, the negative camber, and how it dampened on the FWY. I couldnt have done a better job myself. Truly looks VIP. I can honestly say that its one of the cleanest Genesis Sedans.

Btw. Your Quad tips are HOT. Looks like they made it from the Factory.
