I don't think anyone is willing the spend the, I'm assuming a leg this costs. Especially the ease of the tablet installs on the 09-12s. Goodluck with these though :P

No need to have to give up a leg or a first born, considering navigation is not even an option for 3 out of 6 of the genesis coupe models our system is at extremely competitive price point for a system that retains all of the OEM functions and features and looks OEM in your dash to boot.

Quite honestly; if one were to get an aftermarket (albeit unavi) nav interface, they would want more functionality. People want obd reading ease of customising, and as always a low cost.

Default Don't make the same mistake i did!!!

First of all, this product is super expensive. I thought I would be getting a high quality product for the price, so I splurged. That was a big mistake, and I'll regret that decision as long as I have this car.

The packaging seemed fine. Everything looked like it was in order and there were good directions on how to install. I took it to a professional installer I had used before and had it back within a few hours.

Within an hour of playing with it when I first got it back, the interface froze. I couldn't switch back and forth between different functions, even after restarting the car. I emailed support and they asked for screenshots, but I never heard back from them after sending them pictures of how it looked in its frozen state. That has only happened a few times though.

Next, the radio comes with a small external speaker. I wondered what this was for and I was very disappointed when I found out. By default, the GPS navigation audio AND THE MUSIC PLAYER both play out of this ridiculous tiny external speaker. Why wouldn't it feed directly to my main speakers? I can't even hear the GPS navigation through that tiny speaker when I'm listening to the radio through my main speakers, so I would have to switch to just the GPS if I wanted verbal directions. I found out there is a workaround though. Once you start the GPS navigation or the music app, you have to switch to the Aux input in order to hear that audio out of your regular car speakers. That's a nuisance, but it would work EXCEPT........

THE BIGGEST PROBLEM: The aux output has engine noise. If you play your music in the music app through the aux input, it sounds HORRIBLE. There's a very loud whining noise - I'm sure you've heard it before - that gets louder as you accelerate and can't be overlooked. Once I heard this, I immediately took it back to the installer to see if they could fix it. They spent several hours adding grounding all over the place and trying other tricks, but in the end, decided the problem had to be in the unit itself.

At this point, I had to decide if I wanted to forfeit the money I paid to have it installed and go through the trouble of returning it. BUT WAIT!!! Check out their return policy! They charge you a 25% restocking fee - no exceptions!!! And considering the base price, that's pretty steep! They also won't pay for shipping, which isn't a huge deal. Oh yeah, and they will only exchange it - NO RETURNS - after 7 days (which it took to schedule an install). Wonder why they have such a harsh return policy - hmmmm.......

So I decided just to deal with it. After all, I could still use my native radio app (FM, AM, XM) and listen to music through my phone over bluetooth, all without hearing the engine noise. You only hear that through the aux input.

Except that a couple of weeks later, the GPS stopped working. Every time I load the maps app, it just sits there "searching for satellites" that it never finds. It worked for a while, so why did it suddenly stop? I made a feeble attempt at calling customer service AGAIN, but they just wanted me to take it back to the installer, pay them to remove the GPS device, and ship it to them so they could send me another one that I could pay my installer to re-install. At this point, I felt defeated and refused to throw any more money at this piece of junk.

Now I have exactly what came with my car in the first place, except it is touch screen. So bottom line - if you're comfortable paying over $1500 to convert your existing radio into a touch screen radio with no extra working features, be my guest.
