Check the fuse(s). Don't know where it (they) are, but I'm sure that the location is posted somewhere in the owners manual.

If you are close to your dealer, take it there. Probably a warranty issue.

On many cars (don't know about our Genny's), the brake lights and dash lights are on the same line. In other words, when a fuse goes out that dumps your dash lights, the brake lights are also out, and vice versa. Still worth a check, and maybe by the dealer (i.e., warranty).

Agreed,I read about Hyundai having issues with stop lamp switches for all their models, not just the Genesis.

I have a 2009 4.6 genesis and my brake lights don't work! I have 32,000 miles and someone rolled down their window and let me know today. I checked the stop lamp fuse, 10 Amps, but it was OK. I guess there might be a relay, but I just might take it in. Everything else seems to work.

There is a currently active discussion of this problem in the "Electrical" section of this forum.

The problem apparently does not involve a fuse or switch but a diode in the brake light wiring. My car's tail lights come on okay when I turn them on, but the brake lights are inoperative all the time.

My brake lights went out for the second time. Everything else works, no blown fuse and I took straight to the dealer. I was told it was the break light switch and covered under warranty.

Take your car into dealership for warranty work. Tell them to check out z01 diode. It probably shorted. Same happened to mine but they fixed it in 40 minutes

Ditto for me too! bad single diode - fixed in the truck area, under the carpet/mat.

Genesis is wonderful car but surprised that it does not have an indicator when there is a malfunctioning headlight or tail light. Would be a welcome addition to next model.

I also had a brake light problem - rear lights worked but brake lights didn't. I took it to the dealer on a Fri. afternoon. After about two hours of trying to figure out what was wrong, they were going to order a new computer and rent me a car for the weekend (they were out of loaners) when a tech discovered a TSB for a diode under the dash near the steering column. They ended up replacing it with a diode from a used '09 on the lot.

I just found out my brake lights don't work on my 10 Gen. I have had 2 steering wheel tilt switches, 1 battery and now a BIG safety issue with the brake lights and they gave you a used part. I am loosing faith in Hyundai. Seems like they have electrical issues.
