Coming from the coupe community I'm pretty much aware of which vendors are capable of tuning KDM engines in the N. America continent (Canada and US). Not a lot of them out there unfortunately.
This is what I know, currently there are two reputable names, Blood Type for Racing aka BTR (located in IL) and SeoulFul Racing aka SFR (located in PA).
BTR usually brings in its tuners from ROK once the local tuning host has gathered enough interests and money (usually paid in full) plus securing a local dyno shop with date confirmed.
Jay Kim of SFR who performs much of the custom tuning himself and it can be done at his own local shop or wherever there are enough interests and partially paid for in order to warrant him a trip to your local city.
The minimum requirement is usually 10 cars or more. A local host is to make sure he/she can secure a shop (with a dyno) with date confirmed upon SFR's visit.
I have pesonally met Jay who has tuned my coupe twice (stage 1 & 1.5), both times in Texas (Houston and DFW).
A nice guy who knows his stuff.
BTR which I do not know much about other than trading PMs with Sam, a few years ago. I have no doubt BTR is just capable as SFR.
As for our sedan, I have traded pm with SFR asking him about the possibility but so far the only response I got was...
"We can sure do that too... Yet again we do all the testings in house @ SFR USA.
I actually got contacted by few locals recently and it's just matter of time"
Keep my fingers crossed!
